Flow Chart to Teaching Online BBA Courses as an adjunct

If the course has been developed

1. Apply to Human Resources SUNY College of Technology at Delhi

Application Process

Review of applications are on a continuous process.  To apply, please send cover letter addressing your philosophy of online teaching, which on line courses you are qualified/interested to teach, resume and contact information for at least three professional references via email (Microsoft Word or PDF format please) to: Bonnie G. Martin, Director of Administrative Services email to: giambaew@delhi.edu

  1. Once accepted into the pool of Adjunct Professors an assignment to a particular course will be made by the Department Chairperson.
  2. Participate in and receive Vancko Hall Faculty Orientation and Pedagogical Orientation certificates of completion
  3. A Faculty Mentor or the campus instructional support person will be available to help you if you desire to change any of the Course Material.
  4. An Adjunct Contract will then be sent to you for signing and compensation. The contact person is Judy Lindsay (lindsajb@delhi.edu).  The current adjunct pay rate is $667.00 per credit hour of a full semester taught course.
  5. Teach the Course, part of the teaching is to have a student evaluation, which is known as your culminating module. This evaluation you will need to share with Mr. Alan Franks or his designee at the end of the semester as per the contract.

  3. While developing the course, you will need to develop a uniform course syllabus, instructions attached. In addition the following information will be expected to be submitted to the department chairperson for approval before reimbursement will be made by the provost. Keep in mind that the goal would be that after development, should you no longer desire to teach that distance learning course, that anyone could use the following information to teach your course.
    1. Uniform course syllabus- posted on Banner
    2. Course developed in Vancko Hall according to Online Development Guidelines
    3. Course outline- what your outcomes will be and course description.
    4. Evaluations:  How you evaluate the students as well as a rubric to use to evaluate the assignments.
    5. A list of possible discussion questions to be used in the course or being used in the course

  5. An Adjunct Contract will then be sent to you for signing and compensation- contact person is Judy Lindsay (lindsajb@delhi.edu).  The current development fee for a 3 credit course is $2000 and the current adjunct pay rate is $667.00 per credit hour after teaching a full semester course.
