With a new version of Moodle comes functional and aesthetic variations between what we're used to seeing and what we are seeing. Many of these changes afford easier accessibility for students, teachers, and administrators alike. Considerable differences will be outlined on this page.
Right off the bat you might notice the new icons for editing and updating.
Another one of the first differences you may notice is the new method of adding activities and resources. Moodle 2.5 has merged the two options into one convenient menu which outlines the purpose of each option.
Along with a new way to add an activity, you will see that options for Assignments have been enhanced and simplified into one category.
The Gradebook looks a little different but serves the same functions.

Badges are a way of acknowledging good work. Teachers can set up and create badges, then award them to students who meet the criteria.
