1. Penn State has developed an excellent online "Self-Assessment Tool for Online Teaching Preparedness" which faculty members can quickly and easily take online to get a sense of where there may be gaps or needs when preparing to teach online. The tool covers the following areas:
- Organization and Time Management
- Communicating Online
- Teaching and Online Experience
- Technical Skills
- Overall Evaluation
