There are a couple ways you can link to pages in Confluence -

  1. The link you see in the URL address bar at the top of your browser window
  2. The "tiny link" for every page, found by mousing over Tools then left clicking on Info.

While the #1 link may be easier to grab, there are certain advantages of using the tiny link. For example, if you move or rename the page, the link in #1 will no longer work, but the tiny link will continue to work, no matter where you move or how you rename the page. Tiny links also tend to be much shorter, so there's less risk of users getting a long link that gets broken between email systems, etc.
