Changing Confluence Password

In order to change your password in Confluence, please do the following:

  1. Click on your name next to the search field on the top right
  2. On the pulldown list choose 'Profile'
  3. Under the Profile tab click on 'Password'
  4. Enter current password and new password twice
  5. Click 'Submit'

Forgot Confluence Password?

On the Confluence login page, there is a "Forgot password?" link where users can put in their Confluence username (same as Outllook email and network username) and receive a new password from Confluence.

Please note that when copying and pasting the new password from Delhi Webmail, it frequently picks up an extra space at the end of the password, and then appears not to work. If pasting the new password in does not work, try hitting backspace once before logging in, or typing the new password manually.

  1. Just a note that the new password bug is still an issue with the new Outlook Web Access Webmail system. Not sure if it's on Confluence's side or webmail or a combination - but if you simply highlight and copy the newly generated password from WEbmail and paste it into confluence's login page, it does not work. as noted above, you must either hit backspace/delete and delete 1 character from the end, or type in the newly generated password manually.
