  1. I would still like to have a workshop on sign language for beginners.

    1. Bonnie - Kristin Keller-Adams would be the person to contact about offering such a workshop - I am on the staff development committee and will see if she is willing to do an introductory workshop.

      1. I have been thinking this same thing, so I will contact Kristin to see if she is willing and/or able to...

        1. Good morning!  I have accepted the offer to do the Sign Language workshop in June.  Barb had contacted me yesterday.  Please forward any type of information you would like to learn- got the baby stuff!(I will need my books back for preparation!)  I also plan to focus on "introductions" and emergency signs.  As of now, I am thinking on 90 min's.... not firm yet. I will get back to Barb on the specifics of the class.

Whoooo Hoooo!  Thanks so much.  I'm looking forward to the class.

  3. CIS Folks-

It is now time to put together and finalize the staff development schedule so we can get it out to the campus community.  For the workshops for which you have provided information, we need to come up with dates.  Since I try to schedule only one workshop at a time, easiest for me is if you could provide the dates you are NOT available between June 2 and June 26.  For the workshops that are in discussion, I need to know if they will actually be offered and if so, I need descriptions, names of presenters, length of workshop, min/max participants and preferred location.

    Thanks,

    Bonnie

    1. Patrick Masson NOT available June 13-20

Is the suggestion for "Confluence 101, Confluence 201, Confluence 301" actually a request for a beginning, intermediate and advanced session, or just for a request for a Confluence session? I would be happy to do a beginning and an advanced.

I am also happy to do the "Strategic IT Visioning and how you and your department should get involved"

Not sure what these would cover:

      • Serving the changing student population. Lets be prepared(wanted by Michele DeFreece)
      • Using worldwide whiteboard for administrators and tutoring(wanted by Michele DeFreece)
  4. I am wondering if there will be any workshops offered any time soon for Microsoft Excel and Access.  I am wanting to gain more knowledge with those programs since they are used in our office.   I would be at the beginner level.   Thanks,
    Janice K. Hall

  5. When will MSOffice 2007 be available on all staff and student computers (I see there is training suggested as topic above)?

  6. I have asked for Excel in the past and would still be interested in that as well as Access. I would consider myself in the intermediate stage of both.

    Thanks.

    Bon-
